SMOKE alarms have saved the life of a woman who fled her burning home this morning in Geographe, about 200km south of Perth.

The 25-year-old woman was sleeping in her Hester Street home when the fire started about 3.30am and set her smoke alarms off.

She managed to flee the burning home and escaped uninjured.

The estimated damage to the home is about $200,000.

It’s believed the cause of the blaze is due to an electrical fault.

FESA and police are still at the scene investigating.
