Interstate News: Two bodies found in fatal Vic house fire
Mar 30, 2010
A second body has been found at a house in central Victoria following a fire at the property.
A neighbour alerted emergency services to the blaze at a property on Zig Zag Road, Mount Macedon just before midnight (AEDT) on Monday.
It took Country Fire Authority crews 30 minutes to control the fire, which gutted the single storey weatherboard home.
When the fire was extinguished a body was located in a bedroom while a second body was later recovered about 10.50am on Tuesday.
A Victoria Police spokesman said a couple aged in their 60s were believed to normally live at the property but the bodies found are yet to be identified.
Arson Squad detectives will investigate the cause of the fire on Tuesday and police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
