WA News: Second house fire in 24 hours

THE arson squad will today investigate a house fire on Deakin Street in the early hours today (Thursday, August 12).

This was the second serious house fire in Collie in less than 24 hours and the third in 10 days.

Collie Police said what caused the latest fire was not known.

The house was occupied by a young person and the amount of fire damage was unknown, police said.

Police and fire services attended the scene.

Police would not comment further.
