WA Senior Card Holders can claim up to $200 on electrical and fire safety items such as;
- Residual Current Devices
- Mains Installed Smoke Alarms
- Fire Extinguishers
- Fire Blankets
For each category, claims are limited to $200, one per Seniors Card Holder, one per household. Different Rebate amounts apply to different products above.
Director of The Smoke Alarm Company, Mick Gibson said, “The dangers of home fires are particularly treacherous for our Senior population, and it’s a fantastic initiative that the State Government have implemented this rebate. It’s law to have mains powered smoke alarms, and it’s fantastic that the rebate can assist Seniors at this expensive time of year.”
To claim the rebate, complete a Safety and Security Rebate claim form from http://www.communities.wa.gov.au/serviceareas/seniorscard/governmentconcessions/safetyandsecurityrebate/Pages/default.aspx or at any Australia Post outlet. For further questions, please contact the Smoke Alarm Company.
